Graham Paine, 51 is a management consultant and  lives in Blagdon Somerset, with his wife and  3 children.

The Paines’ had their solar PV system installed by Your Power in August 2010 and since then have been generating and using their own electricity supply.

"We initially had a family discussion about how we could do our bit for the environment. It was either solar PV or compost toilets. We decided on solar PV. By coincidence I met Steve Blyth from Your Power and he spoke about what they did. Our main motivation for installing solar PV was contributing to micro generation.

"I got three quotes and chose Your Power - one company were more like a double glazing sales company and the other didn’t come across as professional as Your Power.

 "The installation process was very easy. The scaffolding was put up one day and did the work the next 2 and the scaffolding came down the day after that. It went like clockwork. I was very pleased with the standard of work.

"I started keeping records from 8 September 2010 and since then we have generated 1345 kw hours of power, which is an average of 3.56 kw hours per day. I am pleased that we got solar PV.
